One of my favorite gifts to give at baby showers or new parents are a variety of the everyday products I know they will reach for. Making a gift basket with clean and safe brands to have on hand makes it so handy for new parents. With a baby you will always need rash cream and baby wash, doTERRA products for baby makes a safe a gentle-scented Baby Hair & Body Wash and Diaper Rash Cream that are packaged to make great gifts.
Making sure the ingredients are safe and gentle is important.
The doTERRA Diaper Rash Cream‘s Non-Nano Zinc creates a barrier to protect delicate baby skin from excess moisture. It is tested for sensitive skin and the essential oils of Lavender, Carrot Seed, and Tea Tree (Melalueca) help balance and soothe the skin.
The doTERRA Baby Hair and Body Wash Contains a calming blend of vanilla extract with CPTG Lavender and Roman Chamomile essential oils. It is tear-free tested and comes with an easy-to-use pump.
Find wellness products and body products for baby and adults by visiting the doTERRA website as you search for products tested well and made with simple, natural ingredients. You’ll love the gentle scents they leave behind from essential oils.
I am on my summer break and in a few weeks, we start another school year. Whether at school or in the home, social emotional health is such an important topic for the students and adults! Learning to manage emotions can be helped with simple tools like books and gifts. This brings me to this fantastic box called, The UPside Delivered. This is your toolkit, especially for a year like this.
The UPside Delivered are curated boxes for children ages 5-10 years-old were developed by two licensed mental health professionals and educators. They are meant to manage emotions and create calm. Your box has items and guides so you will understand the why and how to use the items in the box.
There are 3 boxes to choose from:
The Begin Box (what I have): This box connects thoughts, behaviors and feelings. The box has Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) lessons for parents and five to seven items. Learn that if we change our thoughts, we can change how we feel. If you order multiple months, this will be your first box.
Standard Subscription Box: These are four boxes that you will receive quarterly: The Begin Box, The Find Your Feelings Box, The Move Your Mood Box, and a Create Your Calm Box.
COVID Coping Box for Kids: This box includes strategies for both adults and children, along with several items for a child to use when coping with different and difficult emotions, including a gratitude journal and worry dolls.
We don’t get a textbook on social-emotional learning as parents so we need all the appropriate help we can get. These boxes are a great tool for us to use as parents to check in with your kids or give some at-home support to learn how to manage emotions.
When I was younger and had an upset stomach it was always soup and ginger ale to the rescue. The bubbles and broth did something magical to soothe your stomach and has been a go-to for many households for decades. Now that I am a parent myself I read labels and wonder just how a glass or sugary soda was always the right call? I mean, I felt it worked but was there something better?
Then I discovered SOOV, the stomach calming drink. Now there was an option with a lot less sugar and they actually used REAL ginger along with aloe, lemon, mint and chamomile.
This feel good drink in a can is great for kids and adults to soothe an upset stomach. However, as a bonus, it can also make a great alternative to sugary sodas as a mixer. The added benefit of the real ingredients can help your cocktail be a bit easier on the stomach. I just add some to a favorite liquor when I need a nightcap or have company.
SOOV has only 6 grams of sugar and you won’t find artificial ingredients, GMO and it is gluten-free. The label? That’s easy and you will recognize every ingredient – water, ginger juice, aloe vera juice, sugar, lemon juice concentrate, mint extract and chamomile extract. Just about 1 1/2 tsp of sugar per can is much better than the almost 9 tsp of sugar in a can of similar sodas. Also, sodas are not including real ginger in the ingredients.
Enjoy SOOV as a gentle mixer, stomach ache soother or as a digestive aid after a big meal. You’ll want to have these on hand, especially if you suffer with digestive disorders. My 12 year old has inflammatory, digestive problems and these are fantastic to have on hand. At under $3.50 a can (in the 12 pack) he can affordably trade out a digestive aid/enzyme drug for a can of SOOV and they taste great to him!
