PRIMUS Junior Mesh Barefoot Shoe for Kids

PRIMUS Junior Mesh Barefoot Shoe for Kids

The moment my son walks through the door the shoes come off. If I have an outdoor task for him it ends with me upset again he ran outside without shoes on ruining his socks. The kid loves shorts everyday including winter and bare feet! The PRIMUS Junior Mesh Barefoot shoe from VIVOBAREFOOT is the perfect shoe for him!

VIVOBAREFOOT Has many ‘barefoot’ shoe styles for men, women and kids, but for this post I am featuring the Junior Mesh Barefoot shoe.

This shoe is made with breathable mesh with their PRO5 puncture resistant layer. 5x more puncture resistant than a standard sole of the same thickness. The Junior Mesh Barefoot junior shoe is a recycled PET and produced using animal free products and processes. How fantastic is that?!

Anthony did an immediate “ooh-aah” when he put these shoes on. He did examine them first with a look of concern about pulling a shoe on. He has some swim shoes with this pull-on style that are so hard to wiggle his feet into and I know he was thinking these would be the same struggle, but they weren’t! He slid them on with ease. Like any shoe, once worn in they will pull on and off with even more ease.

Do you have a ‘barefoot kid” like Anthony? Valentine’s Day is coming and they just got plenty of candy and toys for the holidays, so how about the gift of barefoot shoes? Anthony gives them a thumbs up!

Front Porch Classics Tabletop Shuffleboard

A few months ago we went to a relatives birthday party at a local gathering spot that was an old school turned hotel and restaurant row. In the main pub we ate at there were table games of darts and shuffleboard. It was where everyone gathered. First the kids gravitated to it as it was in the family dining area and then everyone was taking turns with rounds of Shuffleboard.

At home here we keep our shuffleboard as the “centerpiece” of the game room coffee table and it always gets played with. Neighbor kids gravitate to it all the time. How fun to see 10 year olds taking on a game of shuffleboard with heir video game remotes tossed aside?!

Anthony wanted to share a video with you that we titled, How to Score a Game of Shuffleboard. This will let you see a full round and how to score that round.

With this shuffleboard, Front Porch Classics brings pub-style shuffleboard home with this realistic, high quality, wooden table top version. It is a 2-piece board that fits well together and has adjustable legs to get the board nice and even on your surface for an even game.

This game ends when the first person reaches 15 points to be the champion. If you are a skilled shuffleboard player a full game can end in as little as 2-3 rounds, but the average I would imagine is about 5-6 rounds. A round is each of the 2 players sliding their 4 colored pucks as far down as possible without falling into the gutter of the board.

You can get your own Front Porch Classics Shuffleboard at Amazon!

5 DIY Valentine’s Gifts for the Classroom

Our youngest is 10 and even in 5th grade the kids still love the holiday gifts that arrive for celebrations. I showed up to the classroom on the last day before the Christmas holiday with donuts from the grocery bakery and you would have thought I brought a movie star with me!

“Whoa! Do we all get 1 whole donut?”

“Thank you so much!! The donuts are our favorite”

They were so excited I kind of felt guilty. Other kids brought in so many great sweets and treats and the kids were drooling over these donuts like it was all they needed. Then as they got their donut and the rest of the kids handed out there items, there was another popular treat.

The only handmade item (the rest were typical store bought cookies and cupcakes) was a boys homemade cookie treats and the kids began admiring those. They weren’t store bought and they were unique so the kids were intrigued. Even at grade 5, the kids still appreciate the effort and uniqueness of DIY class gifts.

So, I have not totally made up my mind of what to send with Anthony for Valentine’s Day but here are my favorite DIY Valentine’s Gifts for the Classroom right now I have saved into my bookmarked pages.

I found these on Domestic Executive Online and in her Free Valentine’s Printable post she has this fun idea for fruit snacks. Cheap and easy!

2. Goldfish “Hooked On You” Valentines
