5 Easy Ways To Personalize Your New Car

Personalize Your New Car

Whether you’re looking for your first car or are trading an old model in for a new one, purchasing a new vehicle is exciting. Many people like the idea of choosing a vehicle that reflects their personality, and there are many ways you can customize your new ride to personalize it. Although some of these upgrades are extensive and require aftermarket parts, most are small cosmetic changes and can be made quickly and easily. If you are looking for an easy way to personalize your new car, here are five easy ways to get the customization process started.

Bumper Stickers

Car stickers are available in a vast array of colors, shapes and sizes. You can find them with your favorite quotes or even make your own to personalize them. Choose small ones from your favorite vacation spots to serve as souvenirs or find one with your favorite inspirational quote. You can even find waterproof car stickers with jokes on them. With so many possibilities to choose from, you are sure to find one that reflects your personality. Use a single one for a small accent or apply several all over your bumper if you want to.

License Plates

Every car needs a license plate depicting the vehicle’s unique tag number in addition to the county and state of its registration. However, you don’t have to settle for the standard design given by each state. You can find colorful license plates with fun designs on them and have your tag number engraved. If you want to get really creative, you can create your own unique tag number and pay to register it in your name. This way, you can spell out a word that accurately reflects your personality.

Antenna Toppers

Not everyone likes antenna toppers, but if you’re looking for a cute, inexpensive way to customize your ride, they are great options. You can find them in a variety of shapes and colors, so choose one that reflects one of your interests. If you are a big sports fan, choose one that depicts your favorite team or a symbol of the sport you most enjoy. If you are a dog lover, find a topper with your favorite breed and display it proudly. There are dozens of options.

Novelty Items

The inside of your vehicle is as important as the exterior when it comes to customization. You want your car to be comfortable and cozy, and one of the best ways to accomplish this is to add fun novelty items to the interior. Many of these items are simply meant to help you customize your vehicle and have no functional purpose, but they are fun items to add color and personality to your vehicle. Some of the items you can choose from include those listed below.

  • Dashboard figurines
  • Rearview mirror ornaments
  • Steering wheel covers
  • Cupholder coasters
  • Air fresheners

Seat Covers

If you want to enhance the comfort and durability of your vehicle’s seats, seat covers are a great option. You can find them in nearly every color and print. This is an easy customization that also has functional benefits. It doesn’t take much to get started on personalizing your new car, so choose a few of these ideas and get started today!

Easy Car Detailing with Meguiar's

I am resorting to the fact that this weekend I will need to mow my lawn for the first time in 2020. The weather has been fairly mild for us in February in the Pacific Northwest and now it is time for outdoor chores such as the yard and car detailing and maintenance. Our go-to brand for our car detailing inside and out is Meguiar’s.

Leather wipes

I even steal my husbands Meguiar’s stash for cleaning inside my home. I love the Meguiar’s Ultimate Leather Detailer for my couches. With 3 dogs that go inside and outside I am always wiping our leather couch down from dirt paw prints. It’s important I can get them clean quick and with a product safe for our couch and help the health of the leather through its use. For quick jobs and minor spills, we love how handy the Quick Interior Detailer Cleaning Wipes are. I just keep a container in my car for kid spills and feet marks or Mom coffee spills and splatters.

eguiar's Ultimate Leather Detailer

My husband will tell you that the Hybrid Ceramic Detailer is one of his favorite Meguiar’s products. We take a lot of pride in our cars. My husband works and our oldest work in the auto industry. Taking care of cars are in these boys DNA.

The Meguiar’s Ultimate Waterless Wash & Wax leaves such a fantastic shine on our cars and really helps protect the paint between washes. This is great for that quick protection especially on the new car paint.

Our Car Wash Tip for the warm months

  1. When washing your car, remember to wash from top to bottom of the car. This way you are not dripping dirty water below onto clean sections. Do the tires last with a separate sponge, rag. You don’t want road sediment being rubbed into your car paint. A brush works best for tires anyway.
  2. We highly recommend a car wash bucket with strainer so dirt and sediment stay out of water when you rinse your sponge throughout the wash process
  3. When the sun is out or on warm days wash 1/4 panel at a time so you can get soap rinsed off quickly before it dries onto your car paint.
  4. If you have hard water, keep your car wet the whole time until ready to dry all at once
  5. Our absolute favorite Meguiar’s product? The Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax (G190532SP)! It is fantastic and our cars stay cleaner longer when we have used this product after washing. Make sure you follow the directions on the bottle exactly for best results. We do and love it!

Meguiar’s is top-rated when it comes to car care. Find your favorite Meguiar’s products for the car (or even your home) at Meguiars.com

Tips and Tricks

Car Accident: do I need an attorney?

Being involved in a car accident can be extremely upsetting. You might have an injury, significant damages to your vehicle and feel anxious about getting back on the road. Unless you’ve been in a car accident before, you’ll probably have hundreds of questions, such as who pays for car accident damages? Was the accident your fault? Do you need to get an attorney?

In most cases, an attorney will be helpful and will answer these questions for you. So, what situations might call for an attorney after a car accident?

Disputes over blame

No one wants to believe they’re at fault in a car accident. It can be horrible living with the knowledge that your actions caused pain, distress or financial worry to someone else. Car accidents happen all the time, and whilst they may not always be the fault of a driver, cell phone use, lack of sleep or distractions in the vehicle mean that, more often than not, another driver is to blame. If you’ve been in a car accident and there are disputes over who was at fault, it might be useful to hire an attorney. This person will be able to cover the events of the incident and bring them to court. It will make your life much easier and you won’t have to personally fight the battle.

Fatalities

In serious situations, car accidents might involve fatalities. If you’re unfortunate enough to be in the situation where you had a car accident and someone you love passed away, you’ll be feeling extremely shaken and, during the grieving period, you probably won’t want to be involved in any kind of legal battle. However, you may wish to hire an attorney to fight the battle on your behalf and make the situation as straight forward as possible. Alternatively, if you’ve been in a car accident where you may have been the cause of injuries or fatalities, you will most definitely want to hire an attorney.

Injuries

Most serious car accidents will also involve injuries. Whilst these might be minor, such as whiplash or sprains, you could have long-lasting issues from broken bones, internal bleeding or brain injuries. When someone has been seriously injured in a car accident, they’ll probably need to take time off work, pay medical bills and potentially even adjust their home to cater for a new condition or disability. If this is the case, hiring an attorney is a good decision, as they hopefully will be able to get you a settlement which will take off some of the financial strain.

Time off

Being involved in a car accident can be extremely distressing, and you may need to take time off work afterwards. This might be to recover from any injuries, but it could also be to recover mentally from the trauma. Some people might need to see a therapist. If this is the case, hiring an attorney might be useful to help your finances after the accident and to ease your recovery.
