Today is the release date for the new children’s book, Nia and the New Free Library from Chronicle Books. This book celebrates the love of reading and the support from a small town to keep books available to all who need them.

Nia and the New Free Library book

When the town’s old library is destroyed by a tornado, the people are left wondering: What should they do with the space where the library used to be?

The characters in Nia and the New Free Library all want different things: the builder wants there to be a new skyscraper, the grocer wants a new parking lot, but Nia just wants a new library . . . but how can one person build a whole library?

Tangled Up Book Teaches Kids to Detangle Their Emotions and Manage Feelings

Tangled Up Book Teaches Kids to Detangle Their Emotions and Manage Feelings

Of the books I have most recently reviewed, this one is one of the best I have read. Tangled Up by Jamie Edelbrock is very well written. Whether you have a child that needs to begin counseling and you need help beginning that journey with them or if you have a child who needs some extra help to manage feelings, this book does a great job in those conversations. I donated this to my sister, an elementary school Counselor. What a great gift for a Counselor as well as families who have a child with a mental, behavioral, or developmental disorder.

Tangled Up is intended to lessen the fear of the unknown and shines a positive, peaceful light on mental health and therapy. It colorfully shows how the beautiful threads of us can become tangled, and how therapists and counselors are here to help us twirl bravely through life.

All children handle emotions and feelings differently and no matter their level of tangled up they may be, this book is great for them! Buy now on Amazon.

The Elephants Come Home: A True Story Children’s Book

The Elephants Come Home: A True Story Children's Book

Animal Lovers will love this true story children’s book from Chronicle Books Publishing, The Elephants Come Home: A True Story of Seven Elephants, Two People, and One Extraordinary Friendship. Long title, medium read and the largest heart-warming story that ends with a reminder of how loyal elephants are!

Synopsis: One day in 1999, Lawrence Anthony and Franoise Malby hear that a herd of wild African elephants needs a new home. They welcome the elephants to their wildlife sanctuary—Thula Thula—with open arms. But the elephants are much less sure they want to stay. How will Lawrence prove to them that they are safe and loved? What follows is a gorgeously illustrated real-life story of a friendship . . . and the story of the miraculous way that love given freely will return—greater and more wonderful than it began.

Celebrate the magic of friendship in Itty-Bitty Kitty-Corn children’s book

Celebrate the magic of friendship in Itty-Bitty Kitty-Corn children's book

Whether you have a kitty lover or a unicorn lover, this book is the most adorable children’s book I have read. This is Itty-Bitty Kitty-Corn and is the first of three picture books in a new giggle-inducing series that celebrates the magic of friendship and seeing others for who they truly are! It is written by New York Times bestselling duo Shannon Hale and LeUyen Pham with Abrams Books.

Kitty-Corn

Synopsis: Kitty thinks she might be a unicorn. She feels so perfectly unicorn-y! “Neigh!” says Kitty. But when Unicorn clop clop clops over, sweeping his magnificent tail and neighing a mighty neigh, Kitty feels no bigger than a ball of lint. Can this unlikely pair embrace who they are, and truly see one another?
