I had the pleasure of watching Cabrini as a pre-screen and I am proud to share this film with you! This story is based on the REAL Francesca Cabrini who was canonized by Pope Paul XII in 1946, becoming the first American citizen to be named saint. Cabrini became the Saint of Immigrants. This film will keep you captivated for the entire, almost 2 hours and 20 minutes.
With a dose of woman power, determination and heart with such intensity Cabrini’s story focuses on helping the poor and, in particular, Italian immigrants that eventually morphs into supporting all immigrants from all over the world. Then, suddenly, it is about any poor and underprivileged human being finding needs for their health, shelter and education. Over the course of 34 years she established an astonishing 67 hospitals, orphanages, and schools. Her energy was fueled by an intense focus on serving Jesus in whatever he asked of her and her legacy still stands today.
