Noblo Beach Umbrella Buddy – Review

I have partnered with Noblo for feature

Noblo Beach Umbrella Buddy - Review

Living in the Pacific Northwest we love heading to Ocean Shores or Seaside, Oregon for weekend getaways. If you have ever visited the West Coast you know how windy it could get here. You want the shade but the wind is such a hassle with a beach umbrella. The makers of the Noblo (get it? ‘No-Blow’) understand this and so they have a solution and I tried it out. Only, I have not driven to the beach quite yet so I decided I need this for a different reason. I use it to hold my patio umbrella on our windy days so I don’t have to keep taking it up and down depending on weather.

We bought a new home last summer and this spring we finally got the concrete poured to elongate our patio. That means I finally got to shop for patio furniture and utilize our backyard to entertain. I chose a table that is a glass top because in my experience they last and clean well. However, living at the Cascade foothills we get those downhill winds. If we have them in the forecast I have to take my umbrella out. If it were to tip the table would go with it and the glass will shatter.

I decided that because I like the way Noblo looks and attaches it could work to save me having to not lug that patio umbrella on and off. I was able to attach it just like on a beach umbrella and then it sits under the table. I attached mine through the umbrella table hole as pictured and it holds. No one could trip over it. Set up is so easy so why not use it on the patio? *Note it is not labeled anywhere to be a patio umbrella anchor so guarantee on your table safety, but I decided to use it as a hack this way and so far so good on my table.

  1. Fill the Noblo bag with sand up to the labeled fill line and cinch closed
  2. Attach velcro strap  above umbrella spokes
  3. Set Noblo aside and keep your shade

The Noblo is available on Amazon. It is available in blue or red. You can also visit the Noblo website to learn more.

New Sand Toys from Playmobil – Review

I have partnered with Playmobil for this feature

Playmobil wants to help get your sandbox summer ready! If you want to spend some times outside at the beach or in your garden, the kids need to be entertained and these new Playmobil sand toys will do the trick! Place the Playmobil Dump Truck and Playmobil Excavator in sand or dirt and your child can have ‘loads’ of fun time (pardon the pun).

The dump truck comes with detachable pieces for added fun. The bed as well as the two ramps and sieve can be detached and can played with individually. Use the ramps for the truck ramp or build a bridge, etc.. the creativity is endless. You can fit 2 Playmobil 1.2.3. figures in the cab.

With the Playmobil Excavator’s bucket as well as the flag and cage can be detached and also used individually to play in the sand. Us the bucket as a shovel to dig or build with. There is space in the cage for a 1.2.3 figure.

I love the bright colors and sturdy design. Both are great for outdoor and indoor play! Both retail about $24.99 each.

Visit Playmobil for more summer fun toys!

Magnetic Travel Games from The Purple Cow

Thank you to Purple Cow for sending games for feature

Magnetic Travel Games from Purple Cow

In two weeks Anthony and I head off to Blogger Bash in NYC. At age 9, this is such a fun conference for him as he will mingle and meet many toy and children brands. It is also his first long flight. We are flying from Seattle to New York and need some entertainment for the flight. My husband cannot break from work events so it is just Anthony and I. These magnetic travel games from The Purple Cow and going to be a blast.

Magnetic Checkers

Magnetic Tic Tac Toe + 4-In-A-Row

Magnetic Battlefleet

Each game comes in a slim tin that snaps back together to hold the pieces. They hold very well to the boards and slide easily with your fingers for enjoyable play. The tins stay shut very well. There are even more choices than the 3 games I list above. They are all available on Amazon.

I can see us using these travel games a lot this summer from plane rides to camping and road trips. These make great hotel toys too. They are small and pack well for space saving. There are plenty of playing pieces for each game. Having entertainment is not only fun for the kids, but a piece of sanity to parents.
