The Green Musician children’s book
Release date: August 7, 2015
Wisdom Tales has brought us another cultural story to share with the kids! My son and I love these stories and have read tales from Japan and Vietnam as well as other cultures. Now comes a Persian tale: The Green Musician.
The Green Musician story is retold by Mahvash Shahegh in this new, colorful illustrated book. In this story, a young man named Barbad has one dream which is to play before the king in the royal court. But Barbad’s way was blocked by Sarkash, a jealous rival who would do anything to stop Barbad from meeting the king. But perhaps the palace wasn’t the only place to play before the king, for he loved to walk in his garden. What if Barbad was to hide in a tree for just the right moment to play?
