I have never struggled with too much weight and until I had my son 6 years ago, I hardly had enough fat on my body to survive a mildly cold day. I was 32 when my son was born and never had a plan to get in shape again and as I aged in my 30’s I began to just feel lazy. 18 months ago I went from working 40 hours a week to a SAHM. I stopped moving and my body felt it. I went up a size in pants and started having headaches and low back pain. It took me a while to make the connections from pain to being inactive, but when all else failed for pain relief that lasts, I suddenly had a light bulb turn on within me and wondered if I started exercising, would my aches go away? Guess what? They did! I get addicted to working out 4-5 days a week and feel horrible if I miss a workout. I took it one step further and took a 2 hour-a-day job at the High School so that I can get out and work on my feet while not interfering with the boys’ school schedule. I simply am an example of someone who appears healthy on the outside, but felt unhealthy on the inside and began moving a lot to change that feeling inside.
