We took a recent rainy Sunday to head to our local Bonefish Grill restaurant in Bothell, Wa. We arrived around 12:30 for their Sunday Brunch. They have a fun outdoor seating area, but the weather would not allow us that so we ate in the calm ambiance inside. The lights turned low and a dining room that is open and not crammed with tables was appealing as we walked in. We had our 5 year old with us or I would have requested to eat in the bar. I loved the wood and dark ambiance I noticed in the bar. TV’s were broadcasting programs in there as well. But with a child in tow, we head for the dining room.

We were served by Christian and served some bread and pesto after we ordered and were waiting for our food. My son got his sprite with a lid and straw for general spill safety reasons as a child!

The kids menu had my son very excited when he saw they offered Popcorn Shrimp. He loves his shrimp. The prices are very reasonable and we could have chosen veggies, but squashes and broccoli are in season and those are the 2 vegetables he dislikes most. I am not a shrimp lover at all, but my husband tried his shrimp and said he honestly felt that was the best popcorn shrimp he has tasted. For the $6 price on the kids menu, he stated that we should order it as an appetizer next time around. My son polished his plate of shrimp. The kids menu came in a booklet style full of activities and some crayons and he stayed occupied the entire meal in the book.

My husband ordered the “American Style” Kobe Beef + Egg Burger and fries. It was delicious. A bit larger then our mouth, but conveniently they gave him a knife and he did cut it into bite-size pieces. At $14.20 it was worth the better beef. I have always paid the extra for Kobe beef when the option is available in restaurants.

As for me, I am pretty predicable and wanted to try their Traditional Eggs Benedict and I chose the fruit medley as the side. The fruit was absolutely delicious and fresh. My son wouldn’t stop stealing the honeydew. The Hollandaise sauce was delicious as well and the ham was lean and for $9.20 it was worth every penny. I will definitely order this dish again.
My husband had been torn between his plate and the Bang Bang Shrimp when he chose the Kobe burger. He can’t wait to come back and now try that shrimp that has received amazing reviews from Bonefish Grill. The Bothell, Wa Bonefish Grill gets top scores for ambiance and food quality!

  1. Everything looks super yummy. I have never had Eggs Benedict but I am thinking I really should try it. I have never been as well I don't think they have them here in Bolton but if they did I would for sure love to go:)

  2. I think we have a Bonefish Grill in a town near us – or maybe I saw it at the beach? Anyhow, I'll have to try it next time I'm near it now! Looks yummy! 🙂
