Our Road Trip to the Tillamook Cheese Factory!

Last weekend we did a bit of a splurge trip to the Oregon Coast to visit the Tillamook Cheese Factory! We all live like mice in the Sluka household and if any of us were to ever develop a dairy allergy and have to avoid cheese, it would be a tragedy!

We traveled 5 hours to Lincoln City which is about 44 miles south of Tillamook. The reason we stayed down there, was Seaside to Tillamook had some large festival and room, if any left, were well over $250/night. We found a $120 Best Western w/ the 2 criterias with boys and hotels: Pool and continental breakfast!

We found a Casino: Chinook Winds that had an arcade where we dropped our 14 year old and attached was a daycare. It was a deluxe center: Play area, movies, popcorn, drinks, TV, Arts and Crafts and arcade games. It cost us $9 for 2 hours for our 4 year old! My husband & I snuck over to the casino for some one on one time!

  1. This looks like a wonderful trip. I wish I had a cheese factory near by, I would be so happy since I love cheese! I like the helpful signs with cheese information on them. Very nice pictures.
