Holiday Gift Guide Feature: OtisSpunkmeyer Snack Cakes
In May of 2016 Otis Spunkmeyer introduced a large line of 20 individually wrapped snack cakes and cookies. Since the 1970’s they have brought us delicious cookies and now cakes that are as moist as we would expect from them. I have older boys ages 18 and 24 and I often give food as gifts-in stockings or birthday food baskets for them. New and delicious treats like cookies and snack cakes are always a hit and they will have some of these in their gift pile this Christmas as well.
What is different about the OtisSpunkmeyer line is that there is no funky stuff in their ingredient list. There are no HFCS, artificial flavors or colors and no partially hydrogenated oils. All that bad stuff and chemical preservatives are not needed in all snacks we want to enjoy and they left those out for us.
I love that they are all individually wrapped so I can grab one and throw into my son’s lunchbox for a treat.
I had to try the chocolate chunk cookie first. That is sort of the iconic cookie from Otis Spunkmeyer that I think of. I expected a packaged cookie taste, but they taste just how I remember the fresh baked cookies to be. The chocolate is plentiful and the cookie has the favorable taste.
Otis Spunkmeyer baked snacks include:
- Iced Lemon Loaf Cake
- Cinnamon Crumb Loaf Cake
- Golden Creme Cake
- Chocolate Creme Cake with Caramel
- Frosted Golden Creme Cake
- Frosted Chocolate Creme Cake with Caramel
- Mini Chocolate and Golden Cupcakes
- Cookies: Chocolate Chunk, Oatmeal Raisin, Double Chocolate
- Blueberry Muffin and Mini Muffins
- Banana Muffin and Mini Muffins
