My Final Review of Joel Marion’s Program : Always Eat After 7pm

This post is brought to you by our sponsor, “Always Eat After 7 PM”. The opinions expressed below are my own.

When I first introduced you to Joel Marion’s book, Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight I was able to tell you that I loved how easy it was to get started. Now that I am several weeks into the program I still feel like I was guided so smoothly and it wasn’t much o=f a chore to start my new eating habits.

I chose to join Joel Marion’s program because other low-carb plans felt so rigid and constrictive it simply was not fun or motivating. With this program I learned some myths about other eating styles I used to follow and how you actually can enjoy some ‘forbidden’ foods and even eat late in the day while accelerating fat-burning. I was actually to start this plan from Day 1.

I attribute my eagerness to start on this plan with the education I got in the first part of Always Eat After 7pm. I learned a lot of new facts no one has ever informed me of before and I wish I had known earlier. One thing that stands out most is how, eating carbs at night induces deeper sleep. A research paper published in Sports Medicine in 2014 showed that people who eat the majority of their carbs at dinner actually sleep better. Carb-induced, quality sleep decreases cortisol (a fat-storing hormone) and ramps up the production of your sleep hormones, serotonin and melatonin. Restorative sleep increases fat-burning hormones—the main one being growth hormone—overnight.

I didn’t want to just ‘eat’ healthier, I wanted an overall healthier body and mind. This means I wanted to lose weight as well as sleep better and get my body back into a natural, hormone balanced state. I had no ‘sugar crashes’, no “carb withdraw headaches’.

I simply began to crave less sugar and as time went on I would have moments where I realize how much energy I seemed to have and how well I have slept and how good of moods I have now been in. I would recommend everyone turn to Always Eat After 7pm for any health changes you may want to begin.

I really want to check this out. Seems like something that would help me make healthy long term lifestyle changes, not just some crash diet. Also, I have definitely noticed how a carb heavy meal has helped me sleep earlier!

I dont know if I’m gonna be able to do this one….I can quit caffeine at 5pm but only eating carbs at night is like impossible…

thanks for posting about how this went for you. I try NOT to eat after 7 pm but I will admit I am a bit curious to try this out and see how it works for me.

I love the idea of a diet for night eaters! I am never hungry in the morning, but forever they’ve pushed that big breakfast theory.

Sounds like an interesting concept.
