Holiday Gift Guide Feature: Graeter’s Hand-Crafted IceCream Gifts
How about some ice cream gifts for the holidays? Food may not be your typical gift, but it can be. This is because Graeter’s is much more than your typical ice cream. Because the name has been around for centuries, it is branded into merchandise, dessert creations and selection packs you can send as gifts. I had a bundle arrive by shipping at it was packed very well and still frozen and delicious.
The flavors are broken down into 6 categories. Right now the seasonal ice cream is pumpkin. Yum! The chocolate used is heavenly. I spoon through my ice cream to pick up the large chunks and eat them. The ice cream is so rich and you can just taste the dairy and flavor quality.
- Signature Chip
- Low Glycemic
Can you believe they hand-pack every pint? The ice cream is made one batch at a time in 2 1/2 gallon batches and uses only the finest chocolate, fruits from the Pacific NW and fresh local dairy. The ice cream is frozen then hand packed. The low glycemic varieties have half the sugar but the same great taste. The sweetness in this variety comes from monk fruit. It meets the certifications of the Glycemic Research Institute®’s criteria for a low-glycemic food suitable for people with type 2 diabetes (statistic info. here).
As for gifts? If you have to send gifts, send ice cream. You can order a few to many pints all delivered together and packaged to stay frozen and enjoy right away. You can shop their dessert sauces, fine candies, merchandise and even some ice cream sandwiches called, Wheelies.
