Giveaway: Power Smoothies Book of Recipes and More

This is a promotional post for Power Smoothies by Ulysses Press

Power Smoothies
by Keith Sebastian & Samuel Barnes
Release Date: December 2014
Juicers and Blenders are all the rage and many of you may have them on your wish lists. I own a Ninja and love it, but with all the hype, there is one problem. Do you know what exactly you will create in those juicers or blenders? Do you know what foods compliment each other and would you know how to make a protein smoothie or a weight loss smoothie? You would need to research that and that can get overwhelming. Recipes are hard for me because I either forget which ones I have made in the past and liked or I don’t understand the combination of ingredients. Power Smoothies is available just in time for the Holidays to compliment your new blender or existing one so you can make the smoothies that are right for you and taste great too!
As I was reading through the book, I gained a lot of insight into learning about all the nutrients and ingredients needed for different stages of your body. Whether you are trying to lose weight or need some immunity support, there are smoothie recipes for everyone.
This is not a book of smoothie after smoothie recipes only. Yes, there are 165 recipes in this book, but what makes it so useful is it educates. Right away you get a little education about fats, proteins, vitamins, antioxidants and more. There are 20 chapters and you can narrow down the recipes depending on your needs. Heading to the gym? Read through Chapter 9: Packing on the Muscle Mass with Smoothies. Are you trying to lose weight? Read through Chapter 8: Losing Weight with Smoothies. Starting at Chapter 10, the education behind using smoothies and the ingredients you need lessens and you get 10 Chapters of smoothie recipes!
I have always wanted to learn how to correctly incorporate avocado into my smoothies and there are several in here for me to try. First to try was Dreamy Creamy-mango, banana, avocado, spinach, greek yogurt and water. It was delicious and thick for a satisfying smoothie that kept me full for quite a while. The combinations are great and so healthy.
Power Smoothies makes an excellent gift and belongs in every kitchen!
