The best way to protect your family in an accident or disaster is preparedness. We cannot control accidents and we cannot prevent disasters, but we can have plans, practice drills and be ready with items we may need to help save a life while help is on its way. Of all of the injuries that can occur where 9-1-1 or a rush to the hospital may be warranted, bleeding and not breathing are the most fatal the longer you wait to start treatment. As a family, we take the boys to the dunes a lot, we ride ATV’s and take our trailer. If one of us were to become injured or have a cardiac or respiratory emergency out in the dunes, help can take too long. Depending on the terrain, it could take a helicopter wait for the best help. Because we are aware of this and I like to be prepared wherever we are, we never leave for our trips without a first aid kit. However, I have had it a bit wrong for a long time! I was missing some crucial items in my kit!

Now that I have this First Aid Kit By America’s Disaster Relief – For Emergency Personal and Home Use, I am much more prepared for anything now. What I was missing in my standard kit I had was a CPR mask and bleeding kit and supplies. I also was missing the fun splinter kit that also comes in this pack. The worst part is I know I paid more than this kit costs for the one I had used and it was not half as packed with so many useful and life-saving items. This First Aid Kit meets all US standards, contains a CPR mask with one-way valve, provides WoundSeal for immediate bleeding relief and has an instant cold pack for faster swelling and pain relief.
