Are you hosting a “Friendsgiving Dinner” this holiday? What is Friendsgiving? This would be a Thanksgiving meal with friends who may not have relatives they can be near for Thanksgiving. Whether this describes your day or you are assigned to bring a dish for a dinner this Holiday, party sandwiches are a popular choice. You can essentially cook the day before and make the sandwiches before guests arrive if you have guests to your place and that leaves time to spend on visiting instead of cooking and cleaning! They are easy to make, travel well and these little sandwiches have all of Thanksgiving dinner between 2 pieces of bread for less mess. OK, I do not include the sweet potatoes and that is because unless you find little pigs with wings around me, you will never catch me eating a sweet potato dish. However, you are welcome to add them to your sandwiches. That’s the beauty of finger sandwiches, you add add all the foods you love. Pile them high or keep them simple. To me, the key is in the spread! Adding a little crunch to a cranberry mayo is a lot of fun and tastes great too! Kraft inspired and from my kitchen to yours so you can #TasteTheSeason!
The best part about making party sandwiches is they are inexpensive to make. They only require simple ingredients and if you head to Walmart you know you are getting low prices. These sandwiches I feature were made with the help of Kraft products from Walmart. If you love Kraft foods as much as my family does, I encourage you to visit the Walmart Hub Cooking Up Good website. It has recipes, sweepstakes, loyalty programs, coupons and more! What’s not to love? If you’re looking for a new dinner idea or a chance to win some awesome prizes, be sure to check it out!
These Better Than Turkey Dinner Party Sandwiches with Crunchy Cranberry Mayo can be altered any way that works for your ingredient list. Trust me on the Cayenne! You don’t need a lot, but you may be surprised what that little spice does to a sandwich spread. I love taking simple dishes to a gathering especially when all the guests need is their fingers to eat. No need to bring extra utensils or multiple plates. The only thing I highly recommend is keeping the mayo chilled until you are ready to spread and eat the sandwiches. It is so much better with chilled cranberry mayo! Just throw it in a glass or plastic container with an ice pack if you are traveling to a dinner then quickly spread on as you are ready to set out! Quick and easy and so worth the little extra effort that way!
