I was provided samples of these. All opinions are my own
As a Mom who packs a lunch for my boys, I am always looking for healthy choices I know my boys will actually eat. They need to be appealing and taste good and I was happy to get to try some great products I will now be including into lunches this year. Products from Lance, Welch’s, Coco Joy Kids and Sparkling ICE are great products for your child’s lunch.
Welch’s PB&J snacks are a new favorite for my youngest. They are a thin peanut butter outer shell with a real fruit chewy inside. These bite-sized and no-mess snacks offer 100% of the daily recommended value of Vitamin C as well as a source of Vitamins A & E. They are made with natural flavors and colors and are gluten-free. There are 4 varieties: Strawberry or Grape centers in Crunchy or Creamy peanut butter shells.
If you head to their Facebook page, there is currently a coupon for extra savings.
Coco Joy Kids offers healthy flavored coconut waters kids will love with characters that appeal to them. They are naturally flavored with no added sugar or preservatives. They use fresh, young green coconuts from Southeast Asia to minimize the fat content. My son loves the watermelon and the pineapple was good as well. He loves the Planes characters on the bottles and they are the perfect size to fit in his lunchbox. You can also find characters from Frozen and Avengers.
Sparkling ICE has been a favorite in our home for a while. Our teen son loves grabbing these for lunches. My youngest loves any lemonade drink so the lemonade and strawberry lemonade are his favorites. We live in the Pacific NW where these beverages were born. They are made with naturally flavored mountain spring water, vitamins, antioxidants and natural fruit juices in a carbonated beverage. You will find an assortment of flavors in 2 varieties- Bold Sparkling Waters and Sparkling Lemonades. Many times as I drag my youngest grocery shopping, we will hit the beverage cooler first and there is always a huge assortment of Sparkling ICE and he gravitates towards those. I will see them on sale for about $1 many times I go and allow my son to pick one out and he drinks it as we shop.
Lance® crackers are also a huge favorite for everyone in my family. They are still strong after 100 years of offering fulfilling snacks. There are over 20 available varieties of Lance snacks from ToastChee®, Bolds™ and Cracker Sandwiches. My boys love throwing the cracker sandwiches in their lunches and the peanut butter and cheddar cheese flavors are the popular flavors in our home. You will not find any high fructose corn syrup or preservatives in Lance snacks. There are 0 grams of trans fats as well. When it comes to snack crackers, Lance is a healthy option over similar brands.
If you are trying to make sure your children are eating right during their school day, remember these options for healthier snack and beverage choices.
