GMO’s! Genetically Modified Organisms. Poison. Chemicals our human body does not know how to process. The non-gmoreport says that sales from non-GMO foods rose 66% from 2011 to 2012. The demand from consumer is there! From tumors to organ damage being seen in studies from consuming GMO products to our nation’s consumers demanding a more natural diet free of unnecessary chemicals in our foods we have every right to speak up against brands that are of no concern to the serious health risks proven in these ingredient. GMO is not an ingredient. GMO is a chemical used in the soil from where certain ingredients like corn and soy grow from. This chemical becomes a part of the DNA of that food, we consume that food that now does not have a natural DNA anymore. Our digestive system systematically breaks apart the foods we eat and discovers this chemical and tries to digest or worse yet delivers it to organs and we end up with severe side effects. The most common are GI disorders and allergies. Many brands are recognizing this and one such brand is proud to say the offer a non-GMO snack that also is free of trans fats and hydrogenated oils. Jolly Time!
I was recently sent a gift pack from Jolly Time Popcorn and we had a blast making Christmas Caramel Corn all the while knowing that (besides the sugars of the coating which I used natural sweeteners-not artificial sweeteners) the popcorn used comes from a brand that insists in leaving out unnecessary chemicals and artificial ingredients. Smart Balance is what is used as the butter flavor.
