LITTLE PIM-FUN WITH LANGUAGES

I was recently sent the Little Pim Italian Box Set for review and I now can introduce my son to my heritage through language. My Box set includes 3 DVD’s-Eating & Drinking, Wake up Smiling and Playtime. Together these give us the lessons we need in words and phrases we use everyday. My son is 5 and he really enjoys the idea of learning a new language. He just started Kindergarten and he has a Russian and a Spanish student in his class that would not speak very much at the beginning of the school year. I help in his classroom and was able to make him understand that many of us speak a different language depending on our families. They are learning English and that helps inspire him to learn a new language too. The videos are segmented into 5 minute episodes and that works real well with his attention span. If he is having difficulty we can replay it or if he is in tune we can move on to a new segment. They learn on these videos with the repetition. The episodes themselves are constructed with repetition and the more he watches, the more he repeats and learns. I am learning myself! We make it a bedtime routine now.
