Tailgate In A Box for Game Day Grilling

I have partnered with Tailgate In A Box for this feature

Seattle! Seahawks! Our NFL Sundays are spent cheering on our Hawks and catching up on other teams games. Whether it be a Sunday, Monday or Thursday game, our week is heavily flooded with NFL on the TV. Sundays are the best day to invite friends and family over for the game because we are off work and can have the day to prep some game food.

On of the most popular meals on game day is a nacho bar (and at times I have even done baked potato bars). All you need is a grill and some carne asada and then put out all of the fixings with the chips or shredded lettuce for taco salads. Their is something about grilled carne on game day that I just love this choice of meat to get everyone fed well.

Tailgate In A Box is a fun guest gift or even for the Holidays to a sports fan. They are available at my local Fred Meyer store and come with over 50 items in the box

  • (1) Portable Tailgate Grill (115 sq. inches cooking surface)
  • (1) Insulated Cooler Tote
  • 3 piece BBQ Tool Set (Spatula, Tongs, Fork)
  • 3.3-pound Bag of USA Charcoal
  • (1) Instafire Charcoal Starter
  • (8) 9-inch Plates
  • (8) 16-ounce Cups
  • (8) Forks
  • (8) Knives
  • (8) Spoons
  • (1) Bottle opener
  • (1) Trash bag

You know what else I thought of? If you have to bring a wrapped gift for a gift exchange for a work or family party, this will be a hit when opened. I need one for my work Christmas party and I plan to wrap my Tailgate In A Box.

Two Rivers Assorted Tea Sampler Pack – Giveaway

I have partnered with Two Rivers/Brooklyn Bean Roastery for this feature

We did it! Weeks of packing, then living in a hotel while the home build is complete and moving in to unpack it all again in the new place. We are home owners again and (hopefully) in our forever home so it really feels settling. The one constant was our K-Cup coffee brewer because the caffeine is what we needed daily to get us going. Now in the new home I have a larger kitchen and made a coffee bar.

My husband is a black coffee drinker and I love flavor. The Assorted Tea Sampler from Two Rivers Coffee has so many fantastic flavors of tea and I make it right in my K-Cup brewer. I have a variety of caffeinated and decaffeinated flavors.

As I type this giveaway feature for you I am thoroughly enjoying a cup of Vanilla Chai caffeinated tea and it is so full of flavor. I don’t have to add extra sweetener to this so that saves calories. Inside the box is some Stash and some Prospect brand flavors you may recognize. There are a lot to choose form.

I am thinking I need to make sure one of you get a chance to try this sampler so I am offering a giveaway on this site for you to enter.

The Giveaway

1 lucky reader will win a box of Assorted Tea Sampler from Two Rivers. Open to US, ages 18+ and must not have won their coffee in another giveaway in the last 90 days. Ends 8/16. Good luck!

Busy Moms Meal – StarKist Tuna & Salmon Creations #Giveaway

Thank you StarKist for partnering for this feature and sending product

It will be here before we know it! Back to school 2017 will be just as busy and hectic to a new adjustment as the previous years. It is a bittersweet time of year. We enjoyed family time over the summer but long for them to be in school a few hours a day again where they are learning and growing with their peers.

In my home back to school also comes at soccer season. From days of running around the neighborhood until sun down late at night to school, practice and shorter days is an adjustment. Some nights we have very little time between school and practice so we need easy and quick meals. Although we still have warm weather in September we are not quick to go to hot soups and subs quite yet. We still want cold sandwiches and salads. Tuna is a great protein choice for those busy bodies.

StarKist Tuna and Salmon Creation pouches make dinner so easy. These are even flavored in some of the varieties so you don’t even have to open that spice cupboard. Just mix with your favorite sauce like mayo, mustard or I like to add a bit of dill pickle juice from the jar as well as some chopped pickle for a crunch. If I don’t have pickles I will use cashews because to me, a cold tuna sandwich is so much better with that crunch. Add fresh romaine lettuce and some fruit on the side and dinner is done.

It's an @starkistcharlie #giveaway. Enter to win some Tuna & salmon Creations pouches. Ends 7/24 Click To Tweet

Want to try these for yourself? Look for them at most grocers or you can enter to try and win some. 1 lucky winner will be shipped a variety of StarKist Tuna and salmon Creations pouches. Ends 7/24 and open to US only. Enter below and good luck!

Learning Through Pretend Play with Little Adventures- Promo Code and Giveaway

Thank you to Little Adventures for the partnership on this feature. Opinions are my own

Admit it! If you could put on a cape and hold a sword with no one judging you your inner child would pop right out and have you swinging at imaginary enemies and creating ‘dangerous’ scenarios that leave you the hero. This is how kids play. This is how kids learn. Maybe it has you stop a moment before yelling at your child to stop ‘rough housing’ when he flies through the living room in a cape and sword. Perhaps he is on a mission and imagine if you stepped in to ‘help’.

At times I would be stern as my son was too wild inside and other times I remember asking him what the rush was? What was he attempting here? So when I would say “Who are we after? Can I help?” His face would light up and suddenly I knew all the details of his adventure as he would tell me and it was always fun play time together.

I loved the days of his capes and Thor hammers. He carried those 2 everywhere with him. My son was was THAT child who was in the grocery store, superhero costume and all with no shame. He would tell me he needs his cape and hammer…”just in case!” Even as a Ring Bearer at my sisters wedding he insisted on having his hammer down the aisle so she let him!

Learning Through Pretend Play

  • Critical Thinking: through role playing and problem solving, kids use pretend play to learn how to find conclusions. When rough play is involved to a safe extent, they are actually learning to self-regulate.
  • Problem Solving: Someone has to create a solution to rescue the princess or defeat the evil monsters. Your child will find a way!
  • Imagination: this is the natural way that children discover and learn about the world. In the scenarios they create in their games they find ways to use the skills they have to do more such as dress themselves and create scenarios.

Now it is hard to be a real superhero or princess without the right props. Little Adventures has all of the safe props and pretend play costume any child (or adult) needs to save the world. From Fairies to Dancing and Ninjas to Dragons you can find capes, dresses, swords, masks and more. The best part is that these pieces won’t cost you a fortune compared to other online pretend play options. Not only are they fun to wear and learn, I mean PLAY, with, you will be folding these up for their keepsake box somewhere down the road like I do.

Everybody gets a little something! Head over to and shop costumes like the Princess Gift Set or Pirate Gift Set for only $19.99 regular price and once you find the costumes you want, enter to code: PH15% to save an extra 15%.

Giveaways $50 Giveaway for Holiday Travel

hotels giveaway Giveaway hosted by Parenting Healthy

Happy Holidays and I hope you get a chance to visit loved ones. Perhaps you are just money short to get to relatives over the Holiday. I have partnered with to offer you some help. Could a $50 gift card help connect you with loved ones? A gift card presents the perfect opportunity to give a gift that allows recipients to choose their own present—whether that’s a romantic getaway with a significant other, a family vacation, or a well-deserved escape from everyday life.  Lucky recipients of the giveaway will have the chance to treat themselves, a loved one, or both!

Every Christmas, my Mom gifts my husband and I two nights at a hotel near her. This way we aren’t driving the 80 miles back and forth the few days around the holidays to visit our families that all live south of us. It always helps to have a room on Christmas night so we don’t have to be on the roads late at night to get home after the big day.

What is your Holiday Hotel story?

Enter below to win a $50 gift card. Open Worldwide and ends on 12/20. I will be emailing a code to the winner to use immediately. Good luck!
