About the Company
The Skillet Street Food began by Chef Josh Henderson in Seattle in 2007. What started as sales from his Airstream grew over the years and now in Seattle’s Capitol Hill is a Diner derived from this Street Food brand. The Skillet Bacon Spread has been featured on the CW11 and Today Show the past 2 years along with many other Food/Drink Top food lists and Articles. See them all HERE.
What is Bacon Jam?
This Bacon Jam, in particular that I was sent is made from Niman Ranch Bacon and blended with onion and Other spices. It can be used as a spread on crackers and even as an ingredient in meat dishes or salads. They have a great recipe list on their site. I spread some on a baguette and added feta and baked in the oven a few minutes for our Father’s Day BBQ.; Everyone loved it and that jar was asked to be passed around so everyone can see this unique spread I used. And being as I live just South of Seattle, it was a huge hit to hear of this coming from there.
This would be such a great buy for any food connoisseur or hard to shop for person in your life. I can see picking up a few jars and pairing with some crackers and a bottle of wine in a basket as a gift for someone.
