Introducing the NEW LeapFrog LeapStart systems. Brand new and coming to a retailer near you, educational play has never been so interactive in a modern way. There are 2 units and the age of your child will determine which unit and workbooks are right for you. The white LeapStart Jr. unit is rated for ages Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten. The Green LeapStart Unit is rated for Kindergarten to 1st grade.
The LeapSatrt is very interactive and is designed to get your child ready for the next level of learning. The books will get kids excited about STEM, social skills, reading comprehension, communication, phonics, math and more. The stylus is a short and wider design for better ergonomics for tiny hands. The unit locks closed automatically and easily opens with the press of the lock button. This enables your child to close it up for easy transport. There is even a pocket in the back to store an extra book.
My son is heading into 3rd grade so the subjects are a bit young, but even he is engaged with these books and loves learning science and space as he tested the unit out with little ones in mind. He was so excited for the interaction and stimulation this brought he eagerly wanted to donate his unit to a family friend for their 4 year old daughter-he said she’d love this and it is perfect for her age with the preschool and Pre-K level book topics.
There are 16 activity books for the LeapStart system covering 4 learning levels (preschool, pre-K, K and Grade 1). It runs on only 2 AA batteries, not included and books are sold separately. However, the unit does come with a sample book.
Note: When you buy a book, you will need to connect your LeapStart with provided USB cord to your computer/laptop. Then log into your LeapFrog account and tell your account you just bought a book soon it can download that audio file onto your LeapStart and the book is recognized by your unit and ready to use. I mention because if you buy book and start to play it will tell your child they need parental permission to play. It is very easy and quick and there is a guide for you.
