This is a promotional post for Carrington Farms #CarringtonMayontheMove campaign. I was sent product. Opinions are my own
It is May and the summer fun is almost here! The weather is nicer and school is almost out and there is no time to sit and waste time. You will have the kids home all day and trips to take and activities to keep them occupied and you need to be on the move! Carrington Farms is celebrating the May on the Move with a campaign to highlight easy ways to sneak some healthy into your day!
Carrington Farms has 100% organic, non GMO flax and coconut oil products to add the perfect dose of nutrition to the foods you love to eat. Sneaking in doses of flax, hemp, chia and even replacing butters and fats with coconut oil leaves you with more protein, more balanced metabolism, Omega’s and even greater energy to get through the day.
Craving something sweet, yet healthy? Try these Crunchy (or creamy if you prefer) Protein Peanut Butter Bars. I took this recipe and snuck in a pack of Carrington Farms Flax Help pack.
Crunchy Protein Peanut Butter Bars
- 1 C Crunchy Peanut Butter
- 3/4 C Light Brown Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/8 tsp Kosher Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 Packet Carrington Farms Flax Hemp Seeds
- 1 Large Room Temperature Egg
- 1/2 C Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1/3 C Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats
Mix the peanut butter, sugar, baking soda and salt until well blended. Add vanilla, seeds and egg and mix well. Stir in the chocolate chips and oats. Bake in pre-heated oven at 350 degrees for 22 minutes in a lined or sprayed 8×8 baking pan.
I have this recipe I used after finding it online at http://www.wellplated.com/peanut-butter-oatmeal-bars/. I changed it by adding seeds and making them crunchy, but credit is still due!
