Lou Knows What To Do: Supermarket (Book 1 of 3 in series)
By: Kimberly Tice and Venita Litvack
When our 9 year old was growing through stages in life it was books I would turn to when I needed tools. Books helped up potty train, get over the fears of the first day of school. Books helped when I needed to teach him against talking to strangers so freely and even for learning to tie his shoes. When your child goes through stages or even challenges, books can help you explain or teach your child at their level. Lou Knows What To Do is a series of 3 books and the first title in the series is Supermarket.
Lou has a special bubble wand that he carries around to help him see into the future so he knows what to do. A trip to the Supermarket is easier with his wand because he will know just what to expect and how to handle himself regardless of who he is with. He needs this help sometimes or it gets very tempting to want to run down aisles or make a fuss at checkout.
The story was written to show children how to apply social skills in their daily experiences. It is rated for Pre-K to Fifth Grade and is great for kids with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Find Lou Knows What To Do: Supermarket this September on Amazon.
