One of the main requirements of furniture that will be used in a child’s room is durability. It also helps considerably if the furniture is available in a finish that can accommodate an array of decorative changes and has a variety of pieces that enable you to personalize the bedroom design so that it is the perfect fit for your child. Although that is a tall order to fill, the youth bedroom furniture at Crate Designs can do all of that and more.

Bunk beds are popular for children who share a room or for kids that frequently have friends stay overnight. They are also a space saving option. Your child can use one level for sleeping and the other as a play space. As a child gets older, they may think of a bunk bed as a childish bedding option. However, if they are still in the same room, the size of the room hasn’t changed. A solution to that dilemma is a loft bed. Loft beds have the sophistication a teenager wants. Adding a desk or a chest for additional storage space under the loft bed can create a functional, mature looking bedroom design that a teen will be proud of.

Once you find a company that has youth furniture selections that can withstand an active child and furniture that can please an independent teenager, you have a major decorating dilemma solved. Simplistic design and a light colored finish are key elements that make bedroom furniture amazingly versatile.

  1. When I was in college, a lot of students had loft beds. They were very helpful in a small room and I wished I had one when I was growing up. I had no idea that Crate Designs sold them.. I will have to check this out when my boys are a bit older!
