This is a product review on behalf of the children’s book series: BeeBear
How do you teach your children about Differences?
Hard question, isn’t it? I find it one of the hardest lesson to teach my son. I struggle with this because I worry I could teach him to be judgmental in the process. I received the book BeeBear last year and it was such a fun way to finally be able to teach my son and open up the discussion about people (or a Be & a Bear) and their differences. We learned that being different can have its advantages. You can read about the first BEEBear Book review here: Children’s Book Review: BeeBear Book of Poems About an Unlikely Friendship.
BeeBear2 brings back the fun poems and colorful illustrations as these 2 unlikely friends learn more about how fun and sometimes frustrating their differences can be. In the end, they seem to once again find more advantages than disadvantages about being friends.
My son loves these poems because he can read them as he is learning to read right now. I love the poem format because I can break the book up and easily get through bedtime reading by choosing a few to read and discuss much easier than having to break up one entire story.
